Adventure Island on Southend seafront is the perfect day out for all the family, and being a free admission attraction this means you only pay if you want to play.

With over 40 rides and attractions, there’s something for everybody to enjoy…if you are looking for what to do in Essex.

Scream through the loops and twists of Rage – with its 75ft drop and 360 degree barrel roll it was the first ride of its kind in England, and was voted the most thrilling rollercoaster in the UK by BBC1’s Blue Peter.

Live your “Best Worst Nightmare” as you experience the ghost-ride, Over the Hill with its high-tech’ CGI animation. And hear your little pirates shout “Arrr!” on the Jumping Jolly Roger, or the thirteen other rides especially for little ones including ‘Kiddi Koasta’.

You only pay if you play, as Adventure Island is the UK’s Number 1 free admission fun park – and there’s always plenty of free entertainment on offer. Themed weekends for all of the family – and not forgetting the spooky Fright Fantastic. And throughout September and October you can enjoy the “Big Saturday Night Out” with live music, DJ and fireworks.
