Exmoor Zoo is an excellent day out in a friendly, countryside setting with over 175 different species displayed amongst both natural and exotic (“jungle-like”) vegetation.
Voted as the best “Education and Public Interactive” events Zoo in 2008 by the British Zoo Association – it is recognised as an ideal family venue. There are lots of activities to do such as animal handling sessions, or you can even celebrate children’s birthday parties or let them become a budding zoo keeper for the day. If you’re an adventurous type of person try an interactive encounter with snakes and spiders or just help feed the wallabies.
Exmoor is an all weather attraction and a participant in over 40 National, European & International Conservation Programmes.
It's the home of the notorious “Exmoor Beast” – a black lady leopard one of the last remaining left in Britain so beware!
Come and visit and share our love and enthusiasm for the wildlife and creatures we look after – a fun and unique experience for all.
