Stretching along the River Hamble and 25 miles of Hampshire’s picturesque coastline, and covering 1500 acres of unspoilt countryside, the Hamble Valley makes an enjoyable destination for a short break or day visit.
Whether your passion is heritage, culture, coast or countryside, there is so much for the whole family to see and do in the Hamble Valley – from charming market towns and quaint villages to beautiful waterside vistas where woodland, marshes and meadows provide a picture perfect background to the yachts and boats moored on the river.
With more country parks than anywhere else in Hampshire, there are plenty of walking trails and paths to follow for an amble or ramble. Attractions provide insight into the area’s past from Bursledon Windmill to Eastleigh Museum, a Victorian working farm, industrial museum and miniature steam railways.
Plenty of events take place throughout the year including the Eastleigh Music Festival organised by The Point, sailing regattas, guided walks and themed festivals.
The picturesque towns and villages of Hamble, Botley, Bishop’s Waltham and Wickham are ideal for boutique shopping with plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes serving exceptional food and drink.
