At Hampton Court Palace in 2009 you are invited to come and explore a living Tudor world celebrating Henry 8th's life, love and passions in our new visitor experience Henry 8th: heads and hearts.
2009 is the 500th anniversary of Henry 8th's accession to the throne and what better place to experience all things Tudor than Henry’s favourite surviving palace. There is so much to see at this most magnificent of palaces, the magnificent State Apartments which have been re-presented in honour of Henry’s anniversary, the hustle and bustle of Henry 8th's Tudor kitchens, the Young Henry exhibition and the new Henry’s Women exhibition.
And don’t forget Hampton Court Palace is a tale of two palaces, there is also a the baroque side of the palace designed by Christopher Wren and home to William 3rd and Mary 2nd.
On top of all this, you also have the 60 acres of beautiful gardens to explore containing the world famous Maze, 18th century Privy Garden and also the largest and oldest grapevine in the world.
