Widely acknowledged as one of the ten most important historic gardens in Britain, Hestercombe is a unique combination of three distinctive gardens, designed over three centuries.
Visit Hestercombe as part of a wonderful day out or short visit in Somerset. Stroll through the recently discovered and restored Landscape Garden featuring a witch house, temple, cascade and ponds – set in 40 acres of a wooded valley with shade and dappled pathways. The Victorian Terrace and Shrubbery lead on to the world famous Formal Garden with architecture by Sir Edwin Lutyens complimented by Gertrude Jekyll’s planting; arguable the finest example of their design collaboration.
