The Isle of Wight Walking Festival is now in its thirteenth year!  In 2010 in excess of 22,000 walkers joined us here on the Isle of Wight to take part in our Walking Festival which boasts 16 days of unbeatable exciting, informative and healthy walks.  For 2011, once again organisers promise a full programme of walks for all abilities, from toddlers to the more mature, from hikers to casual walkers you need to join us on your mission to get fit and healthy, and there couldn’t be a better place than on the stunning Isle of Wight.  We also boast an Autumn Walking Weekend 21 – 24th October, which enables walkers to return to our shores, to experience some beautiful autumnal scenery.

Over half of the Island is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its 60 miles of dramatic and breathtaking Heritage Coastline, unspoilt countryside and over 500 miles of well-maintained and signposted footpaths; the Island has long been a source of inspiration to visitors.

For a taste of this, follow in the footsteps of the Poet Laureate, Alfred Lord Tennyson along the 12 mile Tennyson Trail in the West Wight, or take a stroll in the stunning gardens of Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s much-loved and enchanting residence at East Cowes.
