Located in the heart of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew, this little palace is the oldest surviving building in the Gardens. Kew Palace was the favourite family home of King George 3rd, Queen Charlotte and their 15 children. These interesting characters and their stories that form the heart of any day visit to the palace, as the drama of royal family life is played out in these intimate rooms.
Explore memorabilia from the King’s private life, be dazzled by rooms recently restored to their original Georgian splendour, and see the story of King George’s ‘madness’ unfold as your walk through these rooms.
After visiting this delightful palace why not also visit Kew Gardens’ hidden gem Queen Charlotte’s Cottage, which was King George and his family’s rustic retreat and venue for informal picnics and laughter-filled afternoon teas.
