Have a great day out the Natural History Museum at Tring. The Museum was built in 1889 to house the private natural history collections of Lord Walter Rothschild. Explore its authentic Victorian galleries and marvel at the thousands of real specimens from around the world.
There’s a surprise waiting for you in every gallery. Each one’s bursting with beautiful, rare, bizarre creatures. Don’t miss the tiny pygmy hog, the huge moa and the Museum’s famous dressed fleas.
Behind the scenes at the Museum is one of the world’s greatest collections of birds. Scientists work on these collections to explore and understand more about bird species.
