Puxton Park is Somerset’s newest family visitor attraction, opened in July 2007 and established from solid farming roots.
An animal and farm leisure park, the site provides all manner of entertainment for people of all ages, and is designed to provide a link between the farming process and the younger generation, giving them the opportunity to have fun and learn at the same time. The Park is owned and run by the Mead group who have a history in farming and who also are involved in many other business ventures in the region.
Facilities include-
- A free to enter farmshop bursting with local fruit, veg and produce, and Gerald David master butchers
- The Meadows Restaurant which provides an extensive and innovative menu using products sourced locally, and hosts many functions including wedding fares, evening hire, and musical entertainment
- A huge leisure Park including indoor and outdoor play areas, the biggest 3 storey playbarn in the region, various livestock, animal petting village, pony riding stables, a falconry centre and a working dairy viewed from the adjacent Puxton farm
- The park also provides educational class trips for local groups and schools
