West Dean Gardens, nestling in the South Downs National Park, is a great day out for all the family. Its features include a restored Victorian kitchen garden, a 90-metre Edwardian pergola, a Spring Garden with streams, pond and flint bridges, and over 200 varieties of fruit trees.
For the more active there is a 2 and a half mile circular walk which offers breathtaking views of the West Dean estate, country house and parkland setting. The Gardens has its own restaurant serving delicious homemade food and adjacent gift shop selling unusual gifts.
