Wimbledon can be celebrated year-round at the multi award-winning Museum. With unique access to the legendary players the Museum provides a closer view of the living story of tennis than ever before through its artefacts, and films, its amazing 200° Cinema examining the Science of Tennis, the original Trophies, and a resident ‘ghost’ of John McEnroe. Touch screens and audio-guides bring the Museum’s collection to life.
You may also book one of the increasingly popular tours of the Wimbledon grounds. Led by Blue Badge Guides the route includes No. 1 Court, the water gardens, The Millennium Building, the Press Interview Room, some of the players facilities, Centre Court or the BBC Studio depending on building works.
The Museum and Tour was awarded Gold as the Best Tourism Experience in London in the Visit London Awards 2007, and was received a Special Commendation in the European Museum of the Year Awards 2008 run by the European Museum Forum.
