At The National Stud, we pride ourselves on being the only stud open in the country which gives individuals and groups the unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of a working Thoroughbred stud farm.

From the spring time bustle of the Foaling Unit, to mares and foals enjoying the sunshine and summer grass and yearlings being prepared for the famous Tattersalls Sales – visitors will be able to experience it all.

• Tours last approximately 75 minutes
• Large Parties welcome by prior arrangement – group discounts available
• Personal Private Tours are available by prior arrangement
• ‘Newmarket Nights Tour’ – includes a guided tour of the stud, high tea at our Wavertree’s Coffee Shop Restaurant, followed by an evening’s racing with our guide, including trips to the start and a visit into the weighing room (subject to availability), after the horse races, enjoy a live band or artiste
• Tailored Full Day Tours – we can plan a day trip tour which includes, the gallops, real training yard, The National Stud, lunch at our Wavertree’s Restaurant, followed by either wine tasting, a stately home or garden centre
