Bransby Home of Rest for Horses provides safe permanent refuge to horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Bransby has taken over 800 animals into care since it was founded in 1968 and registered as a charity. There are currently over 280 rescued animals at the Home as well as over 150 placed on our foster scheme.

We are open to the public everyday of the year from 10am. Take a stroll down the various walkways and see the animals in their natural environment and perhaps see first hand our Farrier and Humane Handler at work. Feel free to talk to the grooms about the animals as they will be pleased to answer any questions. We have a Gift Shop which serves light refreshments and a picnic area.

We hold two Gala Open Days a year, one in June and the other one in September (please telephone or visit our website for exact dates). It is a great day out for all the family with a parade of rescued animals and various demonstrations, lots of stalls and refreshments. Admission and parking is free.
