Want things to do in West Sussex?
Borde Hill Garden joins the nation to honour the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by staging a Grand Garden Party, featuring Live Folk Band ‘Jigalots’, licensed bar, and bunting. Children can enjoy balloon making and having their faces painted or letting off steam in the Adventure Playground with zip-line and climbing frames.
All visitors are invited to bring a picnic and dress up for the occasion.
To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Borde Hill has commissioned garden designer James Alexander-Sinclair to design a series of three new borders on the South Lawn of Borde Hill Mansion House. The new planting scheme includes plants flowering in July and August, such as Echinacea’s, asters and kniphofias. James has designed show gardens at both the Chelsea Flower Show and the Westonbirt International Festival of the Garden and has a monthly column in the English Garden and Gardeners World Magazine.
