City Cruises is offering a unique opportunity to be part of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, which will take place on Sunday the 3rd June 2012 to mark Her Majesty The Queen's 60 year reign.
The 1000 strong flotilla, led by The Queen aboard a new Royal Barge, will feature a mix of private as well as commercially owned historic and modern boats and you could be part of the greatest gathering on the river in over 350 years aboard a City Cruises vessel.
City Cruises' boats, including the Millennium of London which was named by Her Majesty, will be cruising into river history during the Pageant and the company is offering members of the public a unique opportunity to spend the afternoon on one of their vessels to experience this momentous occasion.
On the Pageant Sights Cruise guests will enjoy a cruise with commentary onboard a City Liner as it heads towards Westminster where it will take up a grandstand position to toast The Queen with a glass of champagne as she passes by at the head of the procession. The City Liner will then rejoin the Pageant and there will be plenty of time to enjoy the light picnic lunch as well as the fabulous sights along the Thames before disembarkation.
Guests on the Gala Event Cruise will enjoy the special atmosphere of a street party on the River Thames. They will be welcomed onboard the River Liner with a champagne and canapé reception, followed by a cruise towards Westminster with commentary. As they take in the fabulous sights they can savour a delicious buffet lunch and then toast The Queen with a glass of champagne as she passes by at the head of the Pageant. The River Liner will then rejoin the procession and as it heads towards Tower Bridge an afternoon tea will be served. There will be live music throughout to create a special party atmosphere.
