“Hells Bells ‘n Buckets of Blood”

Pirates are coming this half term to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Every day from Monday 13th to Friday 17th February there will be some fearsome family activities.

Children are encouraged to come in fancy dress. They’ll be shown how to draw a pirate map in ‘blood’ using a quill pen and make a variety of Pirate accessories including telescopes and eye patches.

Cap’n Jack Sparrow lookalike and his scurvy shipmates will put on a stage show and sing-a-long and there’ll be lessons in learning how to live and speak like a pirate!

To keep things in order the Royal Marines will be present with their climbing wall which will be open to the public to have a go.

Although the week is intended to be a lot of fun for the whole family, there will be a serious side too with representatives from the Royal Navy’s 815 Squadron who will give a talk on problem of modern day piracy.
