Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th March 2012

Thomas the Tank Engine will be visiting the Kirklees Light Railway several times during 2012. Coming with Thomas from the Island of Sodor will be his friends Percy, Toby and Mavis. To make sure the engines all behave themselves and are really useful engines, Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller, will be visiting us too.

Included with the Ticket:
  •  A return trip to Shelley station
  •  Rides along the platform at Clayton West with Thomas & Toby
  •  Rides along the platform at Clayton West in the Troublesome Truck
  •  Children will receive a Junior Engineer Certificate and a Thomas sticker
  •  DVD screenings of the adventures of Thomas and his friends
  •  Face Painters who will turn children into something magical, ferocious or downright scary.
  •  Donkey rides there and back again
  •  Bouncy Castles
  •  A whirl behind the "Clayton Flyer" on the Duck Pond Miniature Railway
  •  Imagination Station – where children will be able to stimulate their minds with colouring activities, puzzles, badge making, as well as a chance to play with the Thomas table top toys
  •  Children will be able to help Thomas’s Driver and the Fat Controller give Thomas a drink of his special Culdee Fell water brought specially from Sodor for him to drink!

Opening Times

Trains depart Clayton West station from 10:00 and every 30 minutes there after until 16:00
