2011 Oscar winner, Colin Firth, was the latest celebrity to be revealed today at Madame Tussauds London. The new wax figure of The King’s Speech star was ‘unwrapped’ under twinkling lights and surrounded by festive Christmas trees within the A-List Party area of the attraction.

The actor, renowned for his dashing demeanour, is captured in his red carpet finest of a black textured tuxedo complete with bow tie and pocket handkerchief.

“We are delighted to welcome Colin Firth to Madame Tussauds London” commented Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the attraction. “What better Christmas gift for our guests than this striking new figure of the globally adored actor? Colin is a one of the hottest leading men of our time, an Oscar winner and a true British gent – the ideal addition to the A-list of stars we already have here at the attraction."

The figure took four months to complete at a cost of £150,000 and will be situated with other A-listers from Bruce Willis to Kate Winslet to the Beckhams. The British actor is the eighth and final new figure to be revealed in a special year for Madame Tussauds London; in December the world famous attraction celebrated the 250th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Marie Tussaud.
