The 2012 Olympic champion has arrived!

This record breaking baby arrived at exactly twenty past twelve in South Devon on Thursday.

Elliott Hamilton helped mother, Sam, bring her son into the bright world of spring sunshine. "Donkeys usually have no problem giving birth." the Head Keeper at Woodlands told us "The gestation period is 11 months but she was over 13. He is a big foal and she was struggling so I helped deliver him. I looked at my watch to record the birth and it was 20 past 12. There was only one name for him - Twenty Twelve!"

He has proven himself to be a real champion sprinting around his paddock in the Zoo-Farm, hurdling over the daffodils and sparing up to Charlotte the big white shire horse.

"Twenty Twelve is definitely a winner." Elliott said, "He is a real athlete and leads his mum a right dance. The children cheer him on because he beats his Mum every time when they race around the field, she can never catch him. He's definitely our Olympic champion."
