Hatton Farm Village Welcomes New Falconers
Hatton Farm Village has welcomed the arrival of two new resident falconers to its premises at Hatton Country World, near Warwick. David Feilden and Danielle Shearsby have taken up the post at the popular farm village attraction with their Arden Falconry display team, and have already built 12 new aviaries in the falconry centre. The two business partners previously spent 13 years with Heart of England Raptors, which was based at Mary Arden’s House in Stratford but which also flew displays at Hatton, before flying off on their own as resident falconers at a craft centre near Worcester.
Danielle, from Leamington, who studied animal care at Morton Morrell College of Agriculture for three years, said that Arden Falconry had recently taken over Heart of England Raptors and that had enabled them to increase their total number of birds to 25. “We are delighted to have relocated to Hatton Farm Village where we have more space. The increased size of the new premises will enable us to showcase falconry to a much wider audience, including school visits and birthday parties.”
Fellow falconer David, from Solihull, said: “Having flown birds at Hatton in the past we have been able to settle in quickly. It’s a beautiful spot in the Warwickshire countryside and offers wonderful family days out and we already feel part of the Hatton team.”
Hatton Farm Village offers a fun packed programme of farmyard animals, adventure play, fun fair rides, children’s show and tractor rides.
