A treasure trove celebrating West Norfolk’s heritage, and the home of Seahenge – the extraordinary Bronze Age timber circle, discovered on Holme beach.

Nestled in the historic market town of King’s Lynn, Lynn Museum takes you on an exciting journey through the rich and vibrant past of West Norfolk.

The centrepiece of the museum is Seahenge, one of Britain’s most extraordinary Bronze Age discoveries. Dating back over 4,000 years, this unique timber monument was discovered on a North Norfolk beach in 1998 and offers a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life.

Uncover remarkable archaeological finds that reveal West Norfolk’s past. See the gold coins hidden inside a cow bone since Roman times and explore a nationally significant collection of medieval pilgrim souvenirs.

Step into the town’s industrial past with vibrant displays dedicated to the Victorian fairground and enjoy a selection of artworks depicting town and country scenes. Young explorers will love to climb aboard a fairground galloper and get hands-on with our recreated seed shop.

With thousands of fascinating objects to discover and stories to uncover, there's plenty to captivate visitors of all ages.
