Whether you're looking to improve your wildlife photography skills or simply spend more time observing nature, our tutored photography sessions offer a unique opportunity to do both.
Watatunga Wildlife Reserve is a 170 wildlife reserve dedicated to the conservation of endangered deer, antelope and birds.
Led by wildlife photography specialist Helen, the experience begins with practical advice on camera settings, techniques and approaches to help you get the most from your equipment. You’ll then head out into the reserve aboard an open sided safari trailer with one of our expert guides in search of Watatunga’s remarkable wildlife.
What makes these sessions special is that they’re about more than capturing a great image. Helen’s passion lies in observing animal behaviour and understanding the moments unfolding in front of the lens.
Throughout the session, she’ll be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions and help you develop your confidence as a wildlife photographer. Guests may also have the opportunity to leave the trailer and photograph wildlife on foot.
Having first discovered Watatunga as a local wildlife enthusiast looking for a “safari” experience closer to home, Helen now leads our photography sessions and enjoys helping others connect with nature through photography.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, it's a chance to slow down, learn something new and experience wildlife from a different perspective. Contact - office@watatunga.co.uk
