Elgin, Scotland

Join us for immersive experiences at our Elgin and Hawick mills, where our family business has worked with natural, renewable, biodegradable fibres since 1797.

Johnstons of Elgin have been experts in the world’s finest fibres for over 225 years, crafting exquisite luxury products in our own Scottish mills. We are proudly B Corp Certified, reflecting our commitment to continually improving our sustainability. Our stores showcase our women’s, men’s, children’s and baby clothing and accessories as well as our home interiors accessories.

At our Elgin and Hawick sites, we invite you to join us for our immersive Mill Experiences, learning about our family business, which has worked with natural, renewable, biodegradable fibres since 1797.

Witness the techniques our skilled craftspeople have passed down through generations to make our luxurious Cashmere and Merino Wool products and learn about our rich Scottish heritage.

At our Elgin site, the only vertical weaving mill in Scotland, you can experience some of the thirty processes involved in crafting a single scarf and learn more about the families that have shaped our business over the decades. Explore behind the scenes of our working mill and enjoy an in-depth heritage experience and personal shopping.

Our Hawick knitting mill is in the original Eastfield Mill, which has been at the centre of textile manufacturing for over 140 years. From exploring behind the scenes of our active mill to afternoon tea and a bespoke shopping experience, there is something for everyone at Johnstons of Elgin.

Further details of each Johnstons of Elgin Experience and our restaurant menus are available on our website below.
