Tonbridge Castle

Tonbridge Castle, Castle Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1BG

Step into 950 years of history at Kent's most authentic medieval castle.

If you’re looking for a fun family day out, Tonbridge Castle in Kent has lots to offer. Just off the high street, you’ll instantly be transported into a medieval world where kings and lords ruled supreme. Discover history on your doorstep and explore at your own pace. We love our castle, and we think you will do too.

Explore our gatehouse, great hall, winding stairs and basement, picnic on the bailey lawn or climb the motte for breathtaking views across Tonbridge.

We’re very dog friendly here at Tonbridge Castle. It’s not a family day out if you can’t bring all the family, including the waggy-tailed members. In fact, well behaved dogs are welcome in all areas of the castle and grounds. Just make sure they are always on a lead and remember to clean up. You can use any of the litter bins.

During your tour, why not bring your dog to say hello to our resident pooch. And don't forget to pop in to see us in the gift shop to pick up your free dog treat.
