This winter, from 28th November, Southwark Park, London is being turned into a magical festive storyland, with the Alice in Winterland festival giving visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. 
Over 160 giant lanterns are turning the timeless story into an interactive experience perfect for the whole family and with some lanterns measuring over 6 meters high and 16 meters in diameter, the festival brings to life Alice in Wonderland in a unique way that makes for a truly memorable festive day out.

Immerse yourself in Winterland
Follow in Alice’s footsteps down the rabbit hole as you embark on your adventure through Winterland. 
Open from 28th November 2018 to 5th January 2019, visitors will venture through 29 interactive scenes recreated through lanterns such as the chess game from ‘Through the Looking Glass’ and meet well-known characters including the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee along the way. Illuminated by over 160 magical lantern displays, from a 5-metre-tall Alice to a 4-metre-high White Rabbit, it’s the perfect festive fun for all ages!
Dine with the Mad Hatter
No Winterland would be complete without a stop-off at the iconic Mad Hatter’s tea. Visit one of our many food and drink stalls and grab a mug of mulled wine or enjoy something scrumptious to set those taste buds tingling and complete the festive experience. 
Take a snap with Santa
End your adventure with a trip to visit Santa Claus in the Alice in Winterland grotto! Mr Claus is will be at Alice in Winterland throughout the festive season, so if you want to find out if you’re on the naughty or nice list, head to his grotto to get a photo with the most famous man in the world and a chance to share what you’d like to see under your Christmas tree this year.
