Steeped in history, Glenkinchie has been producing whisky since 1837 and is known as the home of ‘The Edinburgh Malt’.
Nestled among the rolling farmlands of East Lothian, just 15 miles from Edinburgh, Glenkinchie is one of the few remaining Lowland Distilleries in production and perfectly located for a visit.
Glenkinchie is currently getting an upgrade and the site looks a little bit different now but there are still a range of tours and tasting options available. From November on we won’t have disabled access into the distillery. For wheelchair users and visitors with mobility issues we have the warehouse wander available
Call the distillery to get more information on how to book.
Getting to the distillery has never been easier. There is a shuttle service which runs twice a day, at 10am and 1.30pm from outside Howie’s Restaurant on Waterloo Place in Edinburgh City Centre. Seats are limited so it is strongly advised to call and book on 01875 342 012. The team at Glenkinchie will be delighted to help.
Whether you want to buy a bottle, indulge in a special release or pick up a souvenir, the gift shop is sure to have something for everyone. Look out for special offers in the shop during your visit.
