If you’re looking for a great day out in North-East Scotland, visit the beautiful Walled Garden, which is being lovingly restored to its former glory. Over two hundred years old, it is one of Scotland’s largest and oldest walled gardens and contains some 259 espaliered fruit trees including some rare varieties that will give the keen gardener plenty to admire.
Gordon Castle Walled Garden
It is a place of beauty and calm for all to enjoy and has been re-designed by multi-award-winning garden designer Arne Maynard to give a modern twist on a traditional design. This productive Walled Garden changes with the Scottish seasons, making each visit different. You can see our dedicated team of gardeners hard at work, digging, hoeing, sowing, or harvesting. The new children’s play area evolves continually so it really is a great place for a perfect family day out in Speyside.
Be sure to also visit the shop where you can purchase unique and contemporary food and gifts, all containing natural ingredients from the Garden or inspired by this beautiful place. And for great home cooked food visit our Walled Garden Café, nestled on the site of a 19th century greenhouse in the heart of the Garden.
