Why not make a day of it? Visit the museum and stop off at the Traveller’s Rest Tea Room for a cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat. Browse the gift shop where you’ll find a great selection of gifts, books and souvenirs. Outside, the front lawn - complete with distinctive blue police box and Birkhall Steam Engine - is a great place to enjoy a picnic while the kids let off steam in the playpark. As we are a 'dog friendly' museum your four legged friend can join in the outing too! And don't forget there is the popular 'Junior Driving School' for youngsters aged 4 - 10 years. This operates at weekends and during the school holidays 12 noon to 4pm (weather dependent).
Throughout the year the museum has an extensive outdoor events programme, with such events and activities taking place as AllFord, Military Vehicle Tattoo, Family Fun and Ride On Days and How Many Left?
