Salisbury is an independent racecourse in Wiltshire hosting flat racing between April and October.
The first of 16 race meetings this summer is the popular Betfred ‘City Bowl’ Family Day on Sunday 29 April. Other days which are family themed and provide free children’s facilities are Father’s Day Races on Sunday 18 June; and the Summer Holiday Family Races on Wednesday 15 & Thursday 16 August including the feature race of the year, the Group 3 Sovereign Stakes, worth £75,000.
There are four evening events with racing and music combined, to look forward to this year. The first of which is “Spire FM - Back On The Track” on Saturday 26 May. After the success of the last two years, Spire FM are back to do two hours of brilliant hits from the 80s & 90s.
The ever popular “Ladies' Evening” is on Saturday 14 July, and there will be some amazing prizes on offer in the Best Dressed competition. The racing that evening is followed by the excellent tribute artist Lee Pashley as Robbie Williams, and his live band.
Two weeks later on Saturday 28 July is “The Chapel x Salisbury Races, Part 6”. Once the racing has finished, the racecourse is transformed into an open-air nightclub with incredible sound, light shows and special effects.
The final racing with music event of the season is on Friday 24 August which features “Ben: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Concert” with dancers and live band.
All music events are open-air, with the stage located opposite the stands and enclosures. The admission price covers both the racing and the music afterwards, so it is great value!
It is our biggest season ever at Salisbury, with prize money at a record £1.3million for the year, we hope you can join us at one of 16 days on offer in 2018.
