A traditional family-run Somerset cider attraction in beautifully renovated farm buildings, including a rural life museum, farm shop, cafe, restaurant and bar and function rooms.
Sheppy's House of Cider and Fine Food
We make wholesome cafe meals every day, and have plenty of room to sit inside or out. Elegant evening meals are served on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, when the bar is also open to drinkers. Sunday lunches are very popular and there are picnic tables out on the farm for the pleasure of visitors who want to enjoy the farm environment or the children’s playground.
The farm shop sells our renowned ciders as well as home-bred English Longhorn beef and local meats from the butchery. We stock high quality cheeses and picnic delights in the deli counter and have local honey, cider brandy, chutneys, jams, beer and home-made baked goods available to tempt you.
If you want to know more about Somerset cider-making, informative guided tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays at 2 pm. Your tour will include the orchards, presshouse, vat house, rural life museum (with DVD of Sheppy’s cider-making year) and a fully guided cider tasting to finish. These can be booked online or paid through the shop on the day; allow a couple of hours for this visit.
We encourage people to enjoy our beautiful orchards and welcome walkers and dogs (no dogs indoors). Coaches are also welcome with advance notice.
