SEND Sessions at RockReef

Some children and young people may require more help to learn and develop than children and young people of the same age.

If this is the case they may be classed as having special educational needs or disability (SEND) so they can get extra support.

RockReef has introduced this new session to offer a safe environment for individuals to express themselves during a closed/protected session, enjoying the quieter and less hectic environment as experienced during a typical busy day.

We are currently offering SEND sessions for clip ‘n climb including up to 28 climbing challenges to choose from. With this many climbing walls, there’s something to suit everyone. Activities are suitable for children age 4 and up.

RockReef SEND sessions will start on Thursday 5th January and run every Thursday 4:00pm – 5:30pm during term time.

More sessions will be added if these sessions become popular and SEND groups and schools can contact RockReef on 01202 237915 if they would like prices and availability of exclusive use on a different day.

RockReef instructors are trained in SEND and will be on hand to help support and supervise safety.
SEND sessions will have low, calm background music, soft lighting and reduced numbers.
There will also be a safe ‘break-out space’ available for individuals who need some time out, privacy or extra support from their parent/guardian/carer.
